13. Carlos Slim Helu – $81.2 billion
Carlos Slim Helu was the richest man in the world between 2010 and 2013, but by 2022 he is “only” the 13th on this list, however, he is the richest man in Mexico. He is the founder of Grupo Carso and owns América Móvil. Carlos Slim Helu is not just a successful business magnate, but also an investor, and just like many of the richest people, he is also a philanthropist. His main investments are real estate and Inmobiliaria Carso, which is part of his Grupo Carso and can be found all around Mexico. Not surprisingly, Carlos Slim Helu set up his own foundation in 2011, the Carlos Slim Foundation.
