Stanis became famous when she played Thelma Anne Evans in “Good Time” back in the 70s. After she was done portraying that role she didn’t have many big roles, but she never went out of the spotlight completely as she made some guest appearances in different projects. She grew up in Brooklyn, where she also won the title Teenage Miss Brooklyn. Norman Lear discovered her through that pageant.
